Terms and conditions
It is illegal for anyone under the age of 18 to purchase, attempt to purchase or consume alcohol at the event. We would suggest that anyone who looks or could be thought to be under the age of 25 brings photographic ID/proof of age with them or we will not be able to serve them. We will refuse to serve anyone at the event who is or appears to be excessively drunk, under the influence of drugs or uses threatening or abusive behaviour towards staff, customers or other guests. We will also refuse to serve anyone who purchases or attempts to purchase alcohol for someone under the age of 18 or someone who has previously been refused alcohol by the bar staff. The decision on such matters will be taken by the bar staff and will be final. The bar staff also reserve the right to close the bar at any time if in their opinion unruly or troublesome behaviour has arisen or is likely to arise within the venue or its environs.
Humble Cocktails Mobile Bar will:
1) Be the sole provider of all beverages at the event unless previously agreed. It will not be permitted for anyone to consume their own drinks at the event.
2) If the agreement is made to provide your own arrival drinks/ table wine, this MUST be cleared away by no later than 8.00pm. Should this not be done the bar staff will inform head office and your deposit will be retained.
3) On behalf of the client, we will obtain any alcohol license required for the event subject to there being no reason for any required license being refused by the Licensing Authority. Bar opening times will be subject to approval by the relevant authorities.
4) Supply all equipment, staff and drinks.
And will require:
Sufficient access to the venue prior to the start of the event to provide and assemble the required goods and equipment and sufficient time between the closing of the bar and having to vacate the venue to enable all goods and equipment to be dismantled, removed and loaded into waiting vehicle/s.
Due to health and safety concerns, especially at marquee events on public or farm land, many venues will not allow glass to be used. Please be sure to confirm this with the venue prior to booking. We strongly advise clients not to use glass at events on public land or on farm land as glasses can be lost and broken causing injury to animals or people at a later date. Humble Cocktails will accept no responsibility should such an injury occur, when the client has been advised not to use glass. Humble Cocktails will hire all glassware as required. We reserve the right to serve drinks in plastic glasses once the glass has run out. All lost or damaged glasses must be paid for and will be charged to the client after the event. Avoid charges for lost or damaged glass by opting for plastic glasses, these are provided free of charge.
Booking & Payment:
Term and conditions for bar hire will be conditional to each individual booking. A £100 deposit is required to secure all bookings. Our acceptance of a booking form and full payment of the booking deposit will constitute a legally binding contract between Humble Cocktails and the client(s) named on the booking form.
Occasional Alcohol License
Humble Cocktails is required to apply for an occasional alcohol license if we are to run a cash bar at any unlicensed venue (village hall, marquee, country house etc). In order to apply for the license we require a site plan of the venue, maximum capacity and full venue contact details. Humble Cocktails take care of the license, the fee and liaise with the venue. As stipulated by the Moray Council, we require a minimum of 28 days notice to apply for a temporary alcohol license. Councils out with the Moray region can require up to 60 days notice. In some occasions, the license is conditional to security staff being present and if this is the case the client must cover the associated costs. Refusal to do so will forfeit the deposit.
In the unlikely event of the venue and/or the event being refused an alcohol license the booking fee less any costs incurred in the alcohol license application process will be refunded.
Fee and Cancellation Policy
When making any booking a deposit of £100 will be taken. If a booking is cancelled at any point this deposit is retained as we regularly have to turn away bookings due to existing bookings.
Our fees are based on the number of guests specified on the booking form and a minimum of 5 hours bar opening time (unless otherwise agreed). Should there be a change to the numbers attending or opening hours, either more or less, it is a condition of the booking that you inform us within 14 days. If we are not well informed of a significant reduction in numbers attending or the hours of service are less than 5, we are entitled to retain the deposit fee paid to cover costs. Dependant on your number of guests we reserve the right to provide a draught or bottle bar menu - this will be discussed with you up front so that both parties are happy.
During a private event, if guests are seen to be drinking alcohol which has not been provided by the bar (excluding pre-arranged drinks such as arrival drinks, table wine and toasts) Humble Cocktails will inform the client. Should this not be dealt with promptly we reserve the right to retain the deposit fee paid. In the case where arrival drinks or table wine has not been supplied by Humble Cocktails, this alcohol must be cleared away, thus unavailable to guests by 8pm latest, and the time of bar closing. This ensures that we are the sole supplier of alcohol between 8pm and closing. If this alcohol is not removed then we reserve the right to keep the deposit fee paid. If this alcohol is not cleared and guests continue to drink it then we have the right to close the bar at any time.
Humble Cocktails takes all reasonable care when setting up the bar; however, we cannot be held responsible for the following:
Scratches on the venue floor
Drink spillages during service or by guests.
Any damage caused by guests
Any perceived damage that was caused whilst carrying out normal bartender duties. If your event is in a marquee, you should ensure that the floor is protected against dirt whilst contractors are setting up. We cannot unload a lorry full of equipment into a marquee with a cream carpet without the carpet getting dirty, so please ensure that the area where the equipment is brought in, as well as the area for the setup, is protected! Where the venue requires the floor to be protected underneath the bar, it is the client’s responsibility to ensure that the floor is covered prior to our arrival for set up. All clients are reminded that they are responsible for their guest’s actions. Where a guest damages Humble Cocktails property, the client will be held responsible for the cost of fixing or replacing the item, as the manufacturer sees fit. Any deposit will be retained until the bill is paid and issue resolved. Where damage to Humble Cocktails property exceeds the cost of the deposit, a bill for the remaining amount will be presented to the client and payment will be due within 30 days.
TABLE CLEARANCE/GLASS COLLECTION & RUBBISH DISPOSAL
Where a venue does not provide rubbish disposal facilities, Humble Cocktails regret that they can only remove rubbish that is generated and collected behind the bar and does not include items (such as beer bottles & plastic glasses) that have gone across the bar. Glass collection can only be carried out when service at the bar allows. If service at the bar is busy, the serving of guests and running of the bar takes priority. Staff do not clear rubbish, empty beer bottles etc. Staff clear and collect glasses only.
PAYMENTS FOR DRINKS
Humble Cocktails accepts cash and most major credit and debit cards however, being a mobile bar, we require a strong internet signal to take card payments. If this is not available, cards cannot be used. Please ensure that your guests are aware of this so that they can have plenty of cash for the duration of the event. We do not offer credit and will not run a tab unless previously agreed.
